THE VILLAS

The Beachfront One-Bedroom Villas combine a spacious en-suite bedroom with a private swimming pool, separate living area and rooftop terrace, while enjoying direct access to the sands of Paje Beach.

DINING

Gastronomy plays an important role in the White Sand experience, with a culinary philosophy inspired by Zanzibar and shaped by fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Produce from the resort’s own gardens is complemented by ingredients sourced from local farmers, while fishermen from Paje and neighbouring villages deliver the catch of the day directly to the beach.

The result is a distinctive combination of Mediterranean finesse and Swahili flavours.

Doors to Zanzibar, the resort’s main evening restaurant, offers an elegant dining experience with a changing menu of house specialities and chef’s suggestions alongside à la carte choices.

The Beach Restaurant & Bar, overlooking the turquoise waters of Paje, provides a more relaxed setting for breakfast and lunch, including the resort’s memorable early-morning Sunrise Experience.

SUSTAINABILITY

White Sand has developed a particularly thoughtful approach to sustainability, integrating environmental responsibility into the everyday operation of the resort.

All villas and rooms operate entirely on solar power with battery storage, while the property also uses solar water heating and a wind turbine. Drinking water is produced and bottled directly on site, and single-use plastics have been eliminated since 2017.

The resort maintains its own organic herb and vegetable gardens, works closely with local farmers and fishermen and supports long-standing community and NGO projects.

This connection with the local community extends to the amenities found in the villas: cosmetics are sourced from Zanzibar’s nearby Seaweed Center and produced by local women using seaweed cultivated along the island’s coastline.

LOCATION

Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas & Spa enjoys a peaceful beachfront position on Paje Beach, approximately one kilometre from Paje village on Zanzibar’s southeast coast.

Zanzibar International Airport is approximately 40 km away, with a transfer time of around one hour by road. Private transfers and airport assistance, including fast-track and immigration support, can be arranged.

Despite its secluded atmosphere, the resort remains within easy reach of Paje, Jozani Forest and many of Zanzibar’s most rewarding cultural and natural experiences.
