The villa Santa Croce is located on the historic Murlo Estate in the heart of Umbria – cuddled by Tuscany, Lazio and Marche. The history of the estate is dating back to the 11st Century.

The name “Caminata” originates from the Italian word for “chimney” and refers to a villa with many chimneys. Surely the most spectacular element of this villa is its lush garden with more than 3,000 plants that bloom at different times of the year giving a wonderful display of colours that change with the seasons.

This four-bedroom, 14th century property is named after Saint Sabinus, Bishop of Spoleto, to whom the little church on the estate, now deconsecrated, was once dedicated. This used to be one of the most important churches of Murlo where the farmers would congregate for Sunday Holy Mass until the late 1970’s.
